Things People Ask

about our Pies

Questions about the delicious varieties of pies we sell.

Starting with classic Country Apple, we’ve continued to expand into a variety of fruit and nut-based pies. See all of our flavors on the Shop page.

Maybe! We love hearing what our customers would like to see next, and several of our recipes have been developed based on special requests. Although Texas food law does place some limits what home-based bakers like us can safely offer (see the next question), we encourage you contact us to suggest your favorites!

Our pies are baked at home under the guidelines of the Texas Cottage Food Law. These regulations are generally designed to keep the public safe by placing additional requirements on things that require careful handling, like refrigeration. Because we like our pies to stay fresh no matter where they’re sold, we don’t currently make most “cream” pies, icebox pies, or certain other flavors that deteriorate too quickly.

Everything we put into our pies is something you can recognize and pronounce! We love buying fruits and nuts locally whenever they’re available, but sometimes have to use certain things that are out of season or don’t grow well here. A complete list of ingredients is included under every pie on our Shop page.

Our crusts, which normally use butter and eggs, can be made with vegan alternatives by special request. We can also make “no sugar added” versions of most flavors using Splenda and we’re happy to accomade this if you ask. Please note that the fruit itself still has natural sugars. We can not offer gluten free pies at this time, because we recognize the serious nature of celiac disease and are unable to certify that our kitchen is truly gluten free.

Sometimes! We enjoy experimenting with other baked goods throughout the year, such as scones, bars, and cookies. These usually pop up at our booth at the Farmers’ Market whenever they’re available. We also love making special orders for family and friends which never show up on our menu.

About Purchasing

You can find a good selection of our pies every couple of weeks on Saturdays at the Wichita Falls Farmer’s Market throughout the year. You can also order pies directly through the Shop page on our website.

Here on our website, you can order using most major credit or debit cards. If you find us at the Farmer’s Market or pay in person, we gladly accept cash, checks, cards, Apple and Google digital wallets by tap to pay, Venmo, and PayPal. As a local small business, we’ve also been known to barter goods and services from time to time… let’s talk!

We’ll hand your packaged pie to you or a friend, face to face. This is free of charge in the Wichita Falls area, or we’ll gladly let you pick it up at one of our scheduled events. Once you’ve placed an order, we’ll get in touch to work out the details!

We make your pies fresh when you order, and sometimes need to hunt down and process certain ingredients. It can take a few days to fill a small order, or more than a week for a larger order. We’ll get in touch to discuss delivery dates when you place your order. Already know you need something for that special holiday or party? It’s never to early to let us know.

Maybe! If we just finished one of our regular markets, or are getting ready for the next one, we may have pies on hand right now that are ready to go! Just contact us and we’ll get back to you ASAP.

Yes! With enough lead time, we love to fill large orders that will put a smile on the face of everyone at your family party or business event (you’ll need to cut and serve the pies yourself). We can also make special deliveries to your favorite customers that’ll leave a sweet taste in their mouth every time they think of you! Contact us to get a quote on special projects.
